LOS ANGELES — Jason Oppenheim, the real-estate broker and star of Netflix's "Selling Sunset," has become one of Tesla's most enthusiastic new converts, trading his Bentley for a Model Y and pledging to buy 10 more Teslas, all equipped with Full Self-Driving, for his employees.
Oppenheim, founder of The Oppenheim Group, documented a roughly 75-minute drive from Newport Beach to his Los Angeles office using FSD (Supervised), and came away a believer. "[FSD Supervised] is life-changing," he said. "It's 8x safer than the average driver. There's nothing more important than the safety of you and your loved ones."
A Candid Case for Autonomy
What made Oppenheim's endorsement land was its honesty. He admitted to being exactly the kind of distracted driver that advanced driver-assistance is meant to protect, conceding that he answers emails and texts behind the wheel. Framing the bulk purchase for his staff as a safety measure, he argued that letting the car handle the driving removes the temptation to multitask at 70 miles per hour.
Elon Musk amplified the clip, responding simply: "Tesla FSD feels like magic." The exchange is the kind of organic, high-profile testimonial Tesla rarely has to pay for — a recognizable public figure voluntarily putting his money and his staff behind the product, no advertising budget required. It arrives as the automaker continues to refine the self-driving stack that owners rely on daily.
