SAN FRANCISCO — SpaceXAI is looking at a simpler way to sell its products. The company is weighing a plan to fold Grok and X into a single subscription ladder with four price tiers, from free to $100 a month, according to an internal document viewed by Bloomberg and reported Wednesday.
The overhaul has not been announced. Bloomberg said it is still under consideration, and SpaceXAI has not officially confirmed the changes, but the report indicates the company plans to offer it soon. The proposal would replace today's split checkout, in which X features and standalone Grok access are billed separately.
The Four Tiers
Per the report, the free tier would keep Grok with stricter usage limits. A new $8-a-month "lite" plan would add Grok access, a verified checkmark and fewer ads on X. At the top, a $100-a-month "Ultra" tier would target power users and include Grok Bot, the AI agent SpaceXAI introduced in August.
For context, X's U.S. web checkout currently lists Basic at $3 a month, Premium at $8 and Premium+ at $40, with Premium+ already bundling the highest level of Grok access. A single ladder would make it far easier for a new user to see what each step up delivers.
